Last thursday the fourth edition of the Open Air Film Festival Amsterdam started. For eleven days we will show, on an enormous screen, the best national and international feature films, short films, documentaries and animations that all haven’t been screened in the Dutch cinemas (yet). Free entry.
We secure muggy summer nights with the coolest movies on a big screen, beach-chairs, warm blankets, the best pizza’s and every night a party on location.
This year we will surprise you with an open air art exhibition. Four caravans have been rebuilt by several artists and can be entered and explored. You will discover remarkable installations, photos and other artistic forms.
New website
We have a new website so we can inform you better about the films and activities of the festival. Now we are busy filling the site, some parts won’t be available yet but they will be in the near future.
New this year is the Daily Pluk, our online festival magazine. During the festival one can find a new edition every day with festival news, columns, photos and interviews.
Also new on our site are the trailers and movies. Thanks to PlukTV you can have a little foretaste of the programme by seeing a couple of movies online. Check the site regularly for the latest news or sign up for the mailing list. |

Pluk in Progress
Dedicated volunteers have started to get the location ready. Grass has been mowed, a bike park has been build, they are knocking down walls, painting and decorating the dome and placing a cosy bar. Nosy neighbours are wondering what this activity is all about. Proudly we explain it is only a couple more sleeps before The Open Air Film Festival Amsterdam will take place here.
Take a look at the location here, we keep you updated by uploading photos of the progress on the festival site. Do you maybe have a couple of spare hours in the coming weeks and would you like to contribute to the pre-production or help out during the festival? Click here to find out who to contact.
